Going through a divorce I needed something to make me feel alive and I wanted to remember this moment in time as the day I spread my wings and started my next chapter. Bloom and Blush was the perfect gift to myself to remind me that I’m beautiful and strong and a bad ass. Being married for 15 years I forgot what it felt like to feel this sexy. I have to admit I was nervous at first but Damien quickly put me at ease and he ended up walking me through the entire process. Somewhere after the first 10 minutes I owned it and let go. I was so pleased with my photo shoot with Bloom and Blush. Damien really made me feel comfortable and he was patient with me, it’s not like I have ever done anything like this before in my entire life. I was nervous and apprehensive, doing this type of photo shoot was something I always wanted to do but I just never pulled the trigger. I couldn’t even believe the girl in those photos was ME! I looked sexy, confidant and I knew I had overcome one of my biggest fears, stripping down to show all of my flaws. So worth it, let me tell you!! I got Damien’s information from my Mom who thought it would be a good idea to document this moment in time. At first I was hesitant but then I realized that 30 years later I’d probably want to see what I looked like at this moment and figured I’d jump at the opportunity. So glad that I did! Honestly, me in lingerie looking this hot? Who would have thought! He brought something out in me I didn’t think I had. Looking at the photobook and the large print in my room (yes I did!) reminds me every day who I am and what I bring and that’s powerful. Even on days when I don’t feel so great I look up and it instantly changes my mood. Thank you Damien and Bloom and Blush for giving me this feeling of empowerment.
