I’ve been a photographer for over 20 years in a variety of genres but it wasn’t until I photographed a very special woman who lost over 100 lbs that I knew I wanted to do boudoir. During the shoot I’d stop and show her what I captured and over and over she was shocked. She couldn’t believe that it was her. It was her surprise reaction that I instantly knew this is what I wanted to do. She had lost the weight and hadn’t seen herself in that light before and her sheer surprise and enjoyment was enough for me to want to make others feel the same. I’ll never forget the unabashed confidence she exuded after her in-studio hair, make up and wardrobe styling and the way she beamed with absolute adoration at herself as she saw her photographs for the first time.
